As the UK pushes toward Net Zero goals, public EV charging is emerging as a critical challenge and opportunity. With over 1.3 million electric vehicles now on UK roads, the next frontier is ensuring everyone has access to reliable, affordable charging, especially those without driveways or home charging options.

That’s where we are leading the way. With more than 4,000 charge points deployed and thousands more on the way, char.gy is helping local authorities like Brighton & Hove City Council roll out large-scale, accessible charging infrastructure. Their ambitious new project, supported by LEVI funding, aims to install up to 6,000 charge points across the city over the next six years.

Our model is simple but powerful: smart, street-level chargers, low off-peak tariffs, and a commitment to equity and sustainability. It’s public-private collaboration in action, and a glimpse of how other councils across the UK can accelerate EV adoption at scale.
